JUDGEMENT FOR INJURED CYCLIST

Obtained judgment in excess of $1,000,000.00 on behalf of a cyclist who sustained a mild traumatic brain injury from colliding with a truck that was making an unsafe left turn. The insurance company blamed the crash on the cyclist, claiming that he was going too fast, and that the driver had done nothing wrong, did not fail to yield to the cyclist and had a clear path prior to turning. The insurance company also contested the cyclist’s brain injury. Nevertheless, the attorneys at Bay Area Bicycle Law were able to demonstrate that the driver was at fault, not the cyclist, and that the cyclist’s injuries were not only real but also serious.
