Valencia Motorist Arrested for Assaulting Cyclist with Deadly Weapon
On Tuesday, November 12, 2013, a 56-year-old motorist cut off cyclists pulling out of a parking lot on Valencia Street and then after the cyclists yelled at him to watch out, circled back to actually hit one of them as the two cyclists tried to get onto the sidewalk / out of harm’s way. The driver then attempted to flea the scene, but several other San Francisco cyclists behind the first two gave chase and flagged down authorities, who apprehended the suspect and booked him with assault with a deadly weapon (sedan).
