Bicyclists Injured in Hit and Run in Danville California

On Saturday, October 21, 2017, 3 bicyclists were injured in 2 separate incidents in Danville California. In both cases, witnesses reported seeing a Ford Escape leaving the scene.

The first incident involved a woman who was struck around 1:20PM. According to SF Gate, she was not immediately transported to the hospital. That is very fortunate in a bicycle accident. Later in the day, an 83yr old man would be arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of the accident and charged with 3 felonies. That’s because he’s suspected of leaving the scene of the second accident. The second accident involved an SUV hitting 2 cyclists on Diablo Road. In this collision the cyclists both sustain serious injuries. According to CBS, one cyclist was transported to John Muir Medical Center and the other was flown by CalStar helicopter to Eden Medical Center due to the extent of his injuries.
