What Is Biketoberfest Marin 2018?

Are you a bicyclist? Do you love beer? How about live music? If you answered “yes” to all of those questions, then be sure October 13th is clear on your calendar because you need to check out Biketoberfest 2018 in Marin County.

Presented by Bay Area Bicycle Law, this festival is a mix of Oktoberfest and a bike expo. Visitors will get to visit at least 50 new bike exhibitions, test out e-bikes, and mingle with fellow bicycle enthusiasts. There will also be a vintage bike show for cyclist fans to gawk over and a few pre-show group biking events anyone can sign up for online.

While enjoying all things bike-related, you’ll also get to sample plenty of craft beer at this festival. There will be 35 different varieties of beer to choose from, most of which are made from craft breweries on the West Coast. A few major breweries that will be present at this year’s festivities include HenHouse Brewing and Russian River Brewing.

Oh, and don’t forget about the music! That’s right, Biketoberfest will feature plenty of live musical acts such as Blushin’ Rushin’, The Pulsators, and Alice Drinks the Kool Aid.

Traveling with kids? No worries! There are plenty of family-friendly activities planned at Biketoberfest, including a fun inflatable jump house.

All of the proceeds raised from this event will go to help the Marin County Bicycle Coalition and Access4Bikes who seek to improve the bike lanes, paths and trails in Marin County.

Lagunitas Brewing Company is the official brewfest sponsor of this year’s Biketoberfest. A few other sponsors of Biketoberfest 2018 include Mike’s Bikes, The New Wheel, and Endurance Mill Valley.

Biketoberfest will take place on October 13th from 11AM till 5PM in Fairfax Plaza, Fairfax. You can purchase tickets for the beer tasting and/or pre-show group bike rides online by following this link.
